Kwote ~ KanaKa
The white Australian Blackbirders; euphemism for the Pacific Slave traders referred to the South Pacific Islanders they tricked and kidnapped to Queensland as 'Kanaka'. This was an incorrect term of reference on many levels as 'Kanaka has been defined as a Hawaiian word meaning ‘man'. Source: Part of the Federation Story
